The World Doesn’t Owe Us Anything – The Power of Action

One of the biggest advantages I’ve seen in the world belongs to the people who have a clear understanding that nothing is owed to them. Why is this important?

Having a clear understanding that nothing is owed to you, allows you to then focus on earning what you obtain in life. Instead of waiting for the world or the “universe” to provide, you start to take actions to earn the life that you want.

In my work, I spend a lot of time talking to people about their dreams and aspirations. In these conversations many times I run across folks that are upset at life. They are upset they aren’t where they want to be, they’re upset they lost their job, they are upset they didn’t get the promotion.

This frustration leads them to find something to blame for their lot in life. Sometimes it’s their boss, or the company, or a co-worker. Finding blame and believing you are owed is a very quick way to stay the same person. When the problem is outside of you, then there is nothing for you to change.

Here’s the truth…

We all get what we deserve in life. Now there are bad things that happen to good people, I understand that, but overall we get what we deserve. And letting go of blame is the quickest way to evoke action in yourself to work to make changes in your life.

The advantage in life belongs to the person that is willing to take responsibility for their current results.

Where in your life can you take more responsibility?
